Student Membership

The future of media literacy is in the hands of our students today.

Growing up in a media saturated world, they have the technological fluency, the passion and the creativity not just to continue but to expand and transform the work of their teachers and mentors.

A few years ago, if one wanted to study media literacy formally, you would have to go to Europe. But now nearly 20 universities and colleges in the United States offer graduate courses and even degree programs in the field. And opportunities for innovative graduate programs are growing rapidly.

Indeed it is though the networking and exchange opportunities at the student level that NAMLE is growing both in the USA and internationally.

Low-Cost Student Membership:  $35

To encourage student participation in the organization, NAMLE offers a low-cost student membership fee of $35.

  • Plus! a lively and energetic Graduate Student Caucus provides networking and support with and among graduate students from universities around the world. To participate in the caucus, however, you must first be an active member of NAMLE. Upon receipt of a student membership, your name is automatically forwarded to the caucus. They will contact you about current activities and how to join.

To join at the student rate, simply select the student rate option of $35 on the membership options form. Benefits and services are the same for all members.
