Brian Cohen

Brian Cohen is an instructor and media specialist at Washington University in St. Louis. His courses explore the nature of representation, the ethical considerations involved in media production, and the challenge of integrating media literacy across the K-12 curriculum. Home-based in the Department of Education, Cohen works with teacher education students and in-service teachers who are interested in bringing media literacy into their classrooms.

Cohen also heads Apple West Productions, a media production company that creates programming for public television and non-profit organizations. His work has been broadcast on public television and featured in exhibits across the country, including those hosted by the Library of Congress (Washington DC), the Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience (Jackson, MS), and the Skirball Cultural Center (Los Angeles, CA).

Cohen holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a master's degree from Washington University in St Louis.
